Pros and cons of Nintype app for iPhone and iPad

Nintype app good for

Very fluid and quick, although now I have trouble typing with other slide keyboards because I can’t use both hands haha, would recommend!
I have been looking forward to this app for a long time, and I’ve never been more satisfied with a purchase as I have been with this. The updates continue to improve and the customization is top notch. You will not be disappointed with a keyboard as great as this. It does take a learning curve to master, but every great program requires time to learn. You will appreciate this when you get it down.
Now that this app has been updated, its the best keyboard on the market hands down. I’ve tried them all. This is my favorite. I highly recommend.
I am completely in love with this keyboard. It’s seriously super fun to use (never thought I’d say that about a keyboard lol) and makes typing 10x easier. There are so many different options that you can customize to get it to work and look exactly how you want. The tons of options available can seem a little bit overwhelming at first, but you can really do some amazing things once you learn how everything works. There’s a not of a learning curve at first to get used to two thumb swiping, but once you get it down typing is ridiculously fun and fast. The dev has also done an amazing job working with his customers to develop new gestures and fix bugs. If I had to point out any problems that I have with Nintype, it would be the keyboard sometimes not popping up and the autocorrect. If you’ve read about third party keyboards before, you probably know that the missing keyboard is a common error which seems to be caused by the way iOS handles memory. The autocorrect can be really finicky at first and can take a while to train, but once you’ve used it for a while its no longer an issue. Right now I’m using Nintype in conjunction with Gboard which seems to handle one handed swipe gestures a little bit better (Nintype is best with best with two fingers!). The extensive theming options have allowed me to make both keyboards look virtually identical other than the awesome colorful effects that I have set up on Nintype. I honestly don’t think I could ever go back to using the stock iOS keyboard after getting used to this.
I love using this keyboard. It looks cool. It’s fun to use and super fast. There are a few things that totally need to be updated. But it’s still my favorite keyboard for the iphone.
Great Keyboard, with loads of customization but has a steep learning courve

Some bad moments

I went through the tutorial and gave it my best to try to learn it and after using it for note taking I couldnt use it out side of long paragraphs. Using it for day to day texting etc was difficult. Gave up and regret wasting my money. This is another reason why Apple should have a 30 min refund policy.
Im calling it quits on this keyboard for a while until stability improves. The developer does a good job by adding more features and customization options but the keyboard sometimes wont load when opening messages, it runs sluggish when typing in the notification menu, and theres icons that just seem to be distracting and dont really correlate with their purpose (ie paw print, happy face, dancing person, sad face, heart, hands... Its just cumbersome). Hopefully the dev can work on the bugs. The more stuff thats added is just more things that can go wrong.
Ive used this keyboard off and on since it first arrived in the app store. Everytime I reinstall it, I cross my fingers that the developer has worked out its issues. Unfortunately, this keyboard is so overbloated that it is guaranteed to fail to launch at the most inopportune time. Even using the "clean" settings with no flashy colors and animations, it still will fail to launch. Please, please, simplify this keyboard and reduce its memory requirement. It doesnt need all the crazy customizations and animations. Its worth is in the ability to tap and swipe in a single word. Its extremely fast and as you use it, it becomes a very natural way of typing on a touch keyboard. No other keyboard out there does this except Nintype. I want so badly for this key board to work but I know from experience it eventually fails to launch.
When this keyboard works, I love it. It just crashes way too much to be worth the effort. When it does this, either no keyboard shows up, or just a blank grey box. To fix it, you have to close the app youre using (double tap and swipe up) and then restart it.
But only English isnt enough. Make it multilingual, than it works for me.
No keyboard functions and now swiping possible. I checked forums but no solution. Its a pain.
