Best ios keyboard

This keyboard is fantastic! The amount of features is daunting at first but if you take the time to familiarize yourself with the app, the payoff is tremendous.

Best Keyboard By Far

I’ve used a bunch of the other types of keyboards including Swype and Swiftkey. After using this keyboard for close to a year now, I can easily say this one is far better than both of those. I can type significantly faster on this keyboard by swiping with two hands, probably the closest I’ll ever be to typing as fast as I can type on an actual keyboard. Also, the additional functions built into the keyboard like punctuation shortcuts, backspace, and sliding on the keyboard to scroll through text are so good. All in all this is an excellent keyboard with a significant amount of depth and customizability for those who are interested. Easily the best app I’ve ever paid for. I can’t recommend this enough.

My favorite keyboard!

I have tried all kinds of keyboards. After trying nintype, never went back. Keep up the good work!!

Best Keyboard Ever

The fastest, most responsive and elegant keyboard out there. Developer is amazingly responsive and interested in the development. Although this keyboard is not easy to master, is way better than any swipe keyboards out there and can make you type faster than on desktop keyboards. He should allow theme selling in order to make more money and be able to continue to provide top notch development to this app indefinitely.

Could be so much better

Im disappointed! This is my favorite keyboard, but it crashes a ridiculous number of times every day - and almost every time I go to the message app. It also predicts stupid words without considering things like adding an "s" to a common word (which it did recognize). Several updates ago virtually eliminated most of these issues. Fingers crossed that we get back there again!

Amazing app but recent update changes features

This is the best keyboard out there! It’s a compete rethink in how you can interact with a keyboard from a smartphone. It does have a bit of a learning curve (as some reviewers have complained), but that is also because it’s so powerful once you get the hang of it. Think of it like learning to type from home row on a regular keyboard - you didn’t pick it up immediately but once you did you would never consider peck typing again. That’s what this keyboard is like compared to tap typing or any other swipe keyboard. HOWEVER, the latest update did come with a back. In the topbar menu that you get to from tapping in the word, they should revert to “retype” being the last option on the dropdown menu. This makes it so much easier to tap a mistyped word, swipe to the bottom and lift to retype. Instead the latest update has the much less used “pin” feature here. Fixing this would put it back to 5+ stars!

Give it a try

This keyboard is absolutely fantastic. Its very quick and allows you to favorite certain words and it will automatically rank them in order of use. Ducking will disappear from your word use. The developer is very active on Twitter and Reddit and is constantly trying to improve the keyboard. If you have glitches or issues with the keyboard, odds are its an Apple issue. They have not done a great job implementing third party keyboards. Hopefully this will not be the case in the future. Even with the current eccentricities of the keyboard, I would hate to go back to the stock keyboard for my daily use.

Impressive but still glitchy

Its great for typing, but sometimes the keyboard won’t pop up when its supposed to. It’s very frustrating

When it works its neat. Had to uninstall

Ultimately I had to uninstall this keyboard, its buggy and doesnt show up when its suppose to. I mean I get no keyboard in my text app, my search app, Spotify, most of my apps this keyboard is absent. It overrides my stock one, so its just a blank space where the keyboard should be. Requesting my $ back.

This keyboard is great when it works.

Well, it seems this keyboard still has issues. Very glitchy and has a poor dictionary. Ive had to teach it very basic words. I want to use it more, but it often times wont even show up when it needs to.

Beats the rest

I type on my iPhone stock keyboard pretty fast, with this, it’s insane.

Works but a bit finnicky

The keyboard is an awesome concept and can definitely be potentially better than the default ios keyboard but it has some issues correctly spelling words. Even worse occasionally it autocorrects to the wrong word. Overall the keyboard makes you worry more about typing instead of concentrating on what you want to say.

great when it works

...otherwise, you’re starting your app over, and over, and over, in hopes that the keyboard actually comes up. also very spotty for the pull-down search on the ios home screen.

Great Keyboard, but too buggy

This is a wonderful concept for a keyboard and I’m using it right now to type this review. However, what brought me to the review was the fact that I regularly have to force close app that is using the keyboard because it will either display improperly (sometimes it scales outside of it’s allotted space and cuts off part of the top of the keyboard), or simply doesn’t show at all. This simply makes the keyboard unusable for me, otherwise it would be my only keyboard and I wouldn’t look back. I’ll provide some screen shots later when it bugs out on me. A few other feature requests / questions: - When in iMessage, can nintype provide the option of audio messaging like in the standard keyboard? - Peck mode is great, but it would be nice to be able to enable an autocorrect mode for peck, too.

gold standard alt keyboard

worth the price of admission just to discover the app’s full feature set. after slide navigating through the preference menus, the system wide functionality is revealed as customization options are enabled. ★NINTYPE★ outperforms nearly ten paid third party keyboards tested. two point swipe input method is fast, comfortable, accurate, and efficient. becoming proficient does come after a learning curve, as most useful skills. not only is ★NINTYPE★ the gold standard by which to judge third party keyboards, it is the most useful text utility and surprisingly the most valuable productivity app for iOS on the app store to date.

Software issues make it difficult for custom use

I was looking for a keyboard with swipe texting and this definitively fits the bill with using two thumbs. I also like being able to use a smaller board for single handed swipe use and toggle for whichever hand I am using. I REALLY like the split keyboard for landscape mode, but for some reason you cannot press send after composing a text without switching to portrait mode.... Fix this and it will become my only board again!

Awesome keyboard!

I love the control this app gives me as far as customization. The shortcuts are great. So much better than other swipe keyboards. Yes, it is buggy. But that’s like any third party keyboard thanks to Apple. Please fix the issued with the third party keyboards!

With every update they get only worse. Ever since I bought it was never able to use it. Its very confusing and frustrating. You would think that this keyboard is customizable. NO ITS NOT. There are so many things that you NEVER need to use. DONT BUY IT! THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED. 1. Put all the settings in the app, not in the keyboard. You only need to set it once. 2. Take away the things that only 5% of users use in 5% of the time. It looks like you guys dont know what youre doing so you just stuffed it with all kinds of things and lets see what happens. 3. Please spend some time to optimize it and make more vibrant. The keyboard is so broken and just feels like operating some kind of robot with useless functions.

Awesome once you learn

It took about a month to get really good at this keyboard, after about 3 months of using and going through settings, adding shortcuts that I use, this keyboard became like a second extention of my brain and typing is made amazing. Well worth the money

Really makes your keyboard your’s

This keyboard is amazingly customizable. You can control every little thing about it. I love the two handed swiping; it really changes how you can type on a touch screen. It is really for tinkering type people though.
