Nintype App Reviews

Best.

The best keyboard ever made. Yeah it’s got its glitches, but overall it’s the smartest piece of input software I’ve ever used.

Best Keyboard by Far

The nintype keyboard is by far my favorite and is worth the 4.99 premium. After you get used to it (which takes a bit of practice) youll find yourself typing extremely fast. By far my favorite keyboard.

This is the best keyboard I’ve used!

This is hands down the best keyboard i’ve used. it’s very fast and I REALLY love the quick backspace and sliding feature. It feels weird when I use other keyboards that don’t have it and now it just feels natural. There is a pretty steep learning curve though but it’s ok.

Love it but not quite ready to switch

What I love: Swype One handed orientation Lots of customization options Unique and interesting, developer has a great sense of humor and there are lots of neat features However.... The auto correct is pretty bad, or I type in a way that it doesnt understand. I can type fine with other keyboards, but I fight the autocorrect a lot on nintype. A lot of features dont work for me. I tried to change the topleft button to the resize button so I could quickly shift to left or right handed typing, but the button does nothing when I tap it. Its confusing as hell. I appreciate customization and Im pretty good at fiddling with software and figuring it out, but I still find the menus confusing. Its very loud. The visual effects ate pretty cool but not very functional, would like to be able to turn them off. Overall I dont regret this purchase and will be carefully following development but at this time its not my default keyboard. Please feel free to reach out to me for more info, Id be happy to contribute to further development.

Great functionality, but slow to load

First of all, I think this keyboard is great. I downloaded it soon after third-party keyboards were made available, and I still haven’t found another one with comparable functionality. My main frustration, is that two years later, it is still slow to load and crashes more than I’d expect. This is on an iPhone 6 (64GB) so the device shouldn’t be a problem). My impression is that the app is just bloated and contains more than it ’should’ at the unfortunate cost of being a bit laggy, which is an unfortunate trade-off to make for a utility that shouldn’t add any friction. Without knowing what all is under the hood, it feels like much about the app is about flashiness (3D rendered popup menu transitions), when it would benefit more from simple stability and speed. My ideal would be a more performant (speedier, and less buggy) Nintype, perhaps with a more minimalist theme!

Absolutely the best!

Glad to see Nintype getting better and better. Hoping development continues to refine it and squash bugs.
